Day 31: The End

The final and 31st 30 day beach photo. I was planning to see more beaches, but rain and work made life a little less fun than planned. Typical. As I was post-processing this mediocre photo, the sky completely lit up and told me to spend more time shooting and less behind my laptop. Respect to everyone who at least tried this challenge and thanks to all who commented. Extra respect for Capriccio, since only now I realize the amount of work she put in her churches last year.

iso: 400 (by accident, my nose tends to change that setting way too often)
ss: 1/350

  1. A great shot with wonderful colours again. I would definitely not call this mediochre. Love the one lone and solitary surfer out there, waiting for just the right wave.
Congrats on coming so far, particularly with such a hard theme requiring you to get out and about every day. That can't be easy on achieving real life too!

And if you nose can change you ISO setting so easily, you need a new camera, or an ISO lock. That would be extremely irritating to me! But I guess it teaches you to check your gear always. I sometimes leave mine on the wrong ISO cos I set it that way deliberately, and still forget to change it back!

  2. Lovely light, I feel like I am there and can hear the gulls and the waves.

Thanks for sharing your wonderful part of the world with us. I am so glad that you were able to do so many days of your difficult but beautiful theme.

  3. This is beautiful - especially the soft colours in the sky. I very fitting way to end this challenge. I have enjoyed your gallery. Your are very talented and have taken some true stunners. I appreciate your comments on my blog. Some were very entertaining :-) Looking back at your photos I think that my very favourite is Day 27. I love the solitary feel of this one which is probably because of my personality and how I often like to spend time on my own with no one else about.

  7. A very fitting end to a very long month well done mate.
I like the soft colours and that first row of clouds could almost be mountain peaks.
You have a fantastic gallery thanks for sharing and thanks for teaching me a few things along the way. I would also like to visit so I hope you have a huge house or at least a really big hammock. :)

  8. Sorry to bug you this way, but as I got excommunicated at Worth1000 because of raising "bad questions" (I have yet to understand what that could be and asked the board to tell me, but haven't gotten any response yet) I want to thank you for the nice shoot in January. Wish I could have played in that HxH tournament, but if the admins decide my questions are too harsh and dangerous for the moral and integrity of the Worth community, it shall not happen.

Enjoy your time at w1k and be careful what you ask,

  9. Hi!

Sorry to bug you this way, but as I got excommunicated at Worth1000 because of raising "bad questions" (I have yet to understand what that could be and asked the board to tell me, but haven't gotten any response yet) I want to thank you for the nice shoot in January. Wish I could have played in that HxH tournament, but as the admins decided my questions had been too harsh and dangerous for the moral and integrity of the Worth community, it's sadly not going to happen.

Enjoy your time at w1k and be careful what you ask, and where…
