Day 30: Bikes

It's funny how you can walk to the same beach every day and see something new every time. If there is anything I learned from this challenge, it is exactly that. You really don't make the shots if you don't at least go out there (or stay in, for the 'home' shooters). Yesterday I got very lucky, but being there really increased my chances. Thanks for all the great comments, they made me persist these last days.

  1. Wow wow wow! This is beautiful. Definitely my favorite of your 30 days thus far, and that's a hard decision as I love them all. The lighting is wonderful and it really feels like a story is being told.

  2. What a beautiful photograph. Such a peacefulness about it. It would have looked absolutely fantastic without the bikes but the bikes really to add something extra m,aking this a mega fantastic shot. Nope it's not the end. One more day to go - for you anyway!! :-)

  3. This is awesome! But I am really left wondering why on earth someone would take even one bicycle onto the beach, let alone two! Very nicely done and gorgeous colours and lighting, as usual.

Well done for carrying on shooting, even after the disappointment of missing a few days. Very nice work with everything you did! You have created a lovely portfolio here!

It's so beautiful it makes me drool.
I'm so happy you're one of those photographers who can take portrait style pics of sunsets/oceans scenes.
This is delightful and the bikes are just the icing on the cake.

  5. This is another beautiful shot! I love the bikes...they add a spark of interest to the shot. I sooo wish you were in the final HXH...but I'll watch for your entry in the unofficial HXH...(if you signed up for it)

  6. Love this shot. Those abandoned bikes add mystery, makes me wonder what happened to the people who own them... if they're just swimming or have drowned in the ocean... (I can get morbid at times :))
