Day 12: Grumari, Rio de Janeiro

Grumari is the most western municipal beach of Rio. Like Prainha, it has no buildings and is almost completely wild. The western part of the beach is protected by some big rocks and is a popular place to visit with children. Must sleep now.

  1. Very nice shot. I really like the whispy clouds and think that taking a shot of this beach without people would be great to (although probably impossible being popular!)

  3. Can you see if you can find just one crap beach, or a piece of litter on one of these beaches so that we can take a break from all these utterly brilliant vistas that are making me so jealous I want to throw something at my screen!
    Much obliged. ;-)

  4. Ditto what MrJealous just said above;-)
It looks like an ideal spot for young ones to splash about in, without huge waves knocking them over all the time.
I love the soft looking wispy clouds, does that mean rain coming?
    Good!
    (Only joking!)
