Day 23: Ressaca

Ressaca could easily be the name of a nice beach in Brazil, but it actually means 'agitated ocean because of the weather of the previous days'. It also means hangover, which is easily explained. I know it's not a prize winner, but I guess I just wanted to show you the view from my bedroom :)
At the bottom of this picture you see a person walking, giving some indication of the size of the waves.

  1. They are pretty impressive waves (or a very small person and dog). And to think that this is the view from your bedroom window! Oh wow! What a place to live. Very nice photograph to add to your collection.

  2. I can't believe you live right there, and I can't believe one word encompasses such a long sentence for meaning in English! The waves look like they are about to break over those palm trees! A great shot and the frozen motion is well done. Good job.

  4. Looks like it might be a bit to noisy for me with all those waves crashing and that spray coming in through any open windows and I'll bet silly bikini clad girls are always asking you rub oil on them, no not for me mate I like our dry dirt and trees with all the spiders and snakes and stuff. ( grumblebastardgrumble)

  5. Whoa, that's some wave. How high is that?? Is that just a regular wave over there? This is a pretty powerful photo... the scene looks so deceiving with the calm and serene blue sky and unmoving trees then I do a double take coz it looks like a tsunami is about to happen.

  6. Nice view!!! You must be high up as the tops of the palm trees are showing. A stunning fast freeze beach shot. Did I say WOW???
